More than a Book Blog

Hey, guys. I have a confession. Or rather, I've come to a realization.

I want this to be more than a book blog. Because if I'm being totally honest, keeping up with the book blog has been tough. Even when I proclaimed a relaunch, life and essay writing and final exams got in the way. I haven't been reading at the pace that I used too, and while I'm planning to pick back up this summer, I just don't have enough material to fuel a book blog.

Instead, I want this to be a blog about storytelling. Of course books will still be a major facet, but I don't want to limit myself to just books. I'm a media student, I want to talk about media. Television shows and musicals and films and music. I want to talk about the storytelling decisions of each platform, what works, what doesn't work. What stories make me laugh or cry or both. I want to talk about how I've just discovered how wonderful The Office is and how watching The Last Five Years totally flipped the idea of storytelling structure on its head.

I want this to be a freer space to talk about what I want to talk about, instead of feeling like I have to only write about books. There are already so many incredible blogs that do that, and while books will remain a major part of this blog, I want to try my hand at diversifying.

Change is good. I can't wait to see where this goes.
