Where Have I Been? (& A Giveaway!)

Hi everyone!

I feel as though a more formal post is in order, as I just jumped right back in yesterday with my Nova Ren Suma launch and Gayle Forman run-in post. I felt as though I needed to get that post out into the world ASAP. In a way, it sort of explained why I'm coming back. Mostly, I miss the book blogging world. I used to be so current in what I'm reading and what to look forward to. I was fourteen when I started this blog, and had no clue what I was doing. Then, junior / senior year of high school got the best of me, and while I still kept up with reading and writing in what little free time I had, blogging is what I had to push to the side.

Well, I say no more of that! I'm ready to jump back in.

Now, I'm finishing up my freshman year of college at NYU. I absolutely love New York City and every opportunity it has offered me since I've gotten here. I'm studying Media & Communication, planning to double minor in Business of Entertainment and Creative Writing. (We have a class here called the business of publishing and I cannot wait to take that one!)

Yes, that is Bradley Cooper in the middle
This blog is going to stick mostly to the books / writing (unless I do something really cool in NYC like meet Bradley Cooper or go to Jimmy Fallon and then I'll share about that!) I'm going to start reviewing again, host giveaways, analyze my favorite character, maybe post on writing, and definitely attend as many book events as possible and post on those!

Important: Please, please, please, leave a comment with the link to your blog! I switched my blog over to my current email, and my following list disappeared, so I would really love to refollow all of you! (Also I just really love comments.)

To kick off my return to the blogging world, why not start with a giveaway? I will be giving one book, any book of the readers choice so long as it is under $20 on The Book Depository. This giveaway will be international, so long as The Book Depository ships to you! All I ask is that you leave a comment with your most anticipated read of 2015! (And follow if you don't already!) The giveaway will run for one week, and I will select the winner next Thursday, April 2nd!

Happy blogging!

Hi Marisa,

My most anticipated read of 2015 is Nova Ren Suma's THE WALLS AROUND US. I discovered her writing last year with IMAGINARY GIRLS and immediately read 17 & GONE, which is my fave so far. I've been really looking forward to this new novel!! Congrats on relaunching your blog. It sounds like it's going to be great. :)

Congrats on getting back into blogging! (AND on meeting Courtney Summers, of course.)
The read I'm most anticipating for 2015 is definitely Maggie Stiefvater's "The Raven King".
I'm also looking forward to seeing what your blog has in store, and will definitely be following to make sure I see it. :)

This was actually a very difficult question to answer - until I remembered that Harper Lee is coming back this year! I adored To Kill A Mockingbird (just like most of the rest of the world, haha) and am very, very eagerly anticipating the release of Go Set A Watchman.

Congrats on relaunching your blog. I've read your writing on Wattpad (and LOVED it) so will probably follow along just to see what sort of things as great writer as
yourself likes to read :P

Elizabeth - SO excited to dig into THE WALLS AROUND US.

Hannah - The Raven Cycle books are on my TBR list. I've heard amazing things about them!

Ariel - YES HARPER LEE. It's pretty incredible that we're getting more from her so many years later. I can't wait!

If I think too hard about this I'll give you a few million answers so I'm going with The Raven King because I have so much unbelievable love for that series and I know it's going to emotionally destroy me and ugh.

also I don't really read many blogs anymore but I will probably read yours and I'm on the comments page so I don't remember if I'm already following but w/e I'll check when this is done
